Orgasm Myths
A 2015 national study of 1,055 women (ages 18-94) found that, for those engaging in penetrative sexual activities, 36%-72% of respondents reported that clitoral stimulation was either required or highly preferred in order to experience orgasm. I’ve seen other research raging up to 90%. Regardless, so many continue to operate under the assumption that a person with a female body *should* orgasm through penetration and that just simply isn’t the case.
Rather than buying into the idea that a person is either “normal” or “abnormal”, they are much better off discovering what is most pleasurable for the body they have and continue on a lifelong path of sexual self-discovery.
